Could you tell us about your background and your role?
" Originally from Nice, I have always had a very strong connection to the Côte d'Azur and a true passion for its heritage, culture, and lifestyle. For 14 years, I worked as an independent tour guide, accompanying private clients—mainly American but also French—across a region extending from Saint-Tropez to San Remo. I guided my clients through the towns, villages, museums, and iconic landmarks of the region.
In 2019, I chose to enter the luxury hospitality industry as Head of Hostesses at the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat. I then took part in the opening of The Maybourne Riviera, where I served as Head of Hostesses and later as Food & Beverage Coordinator. Since 2024, I have had the pleasure of working in the concierge department at the Five Seas Hotel Cannes.
For me, this career evolution felt natural. It allows me to bring together everything that drives me: an in-depth knowledge of the region, a sense of service, a talent for organization, and the desire to provide each guest with a unique experience by sharing the very best of the Côte d'Azur. "
In your opinion, what role does the concierge desk play in the overall guest experience?
" The concierge desk is often the common thread of the stay. We go far beyond booking a table or a transfer: we listen to each guest's desires to create a stay that truly reflects who they are.
Our role is to anticipate, advise, and sometimes even surprise. We save our guests time, open doors to experiences they might not have discovered on their own, and allow them to experience the destination authentically. The concierge team does not just fulfill a request; we create memories. "
How do you assist guests in discovering Cannes and the Côte d'Azur?
" Every recommendation begins with a conversation. I like to take the time to understand our guests' desires, interests, and travel pace in order to offer suggestions that truly match their expectations.
My background as a tour guide has given me an in-depth knowledge of the Côte d'Azur, from its must-see landmarks to its most confidential hidden gems. Depending on each guest's preferences, I can design a day centered around art and museums, a getaway to the backcountry villages, an exploration of local gastronomy, or a journey off the beaten path.
The goal is for each guest to discover the destination in their own way and leave with the feeling of having lived an authentic, personal, and memorable experience. "
What details or special touches help create a personalized experience?
" Personalization is built through listening and observing. A simple conversation can reveal a passion for art, architecture, gastronomy, or gardens, and guide all of our recommendations.
I also place great importance on small attentions: suggesting an exhibition that matches the guest's tastes, recommending a less crowded route, advising on the best time of day to visit a place, or anticipating certain needs before they are even expressed.
It is often these details that make all the difference and transform a beautiful stay into a lasting memory. "
Do you have a specific memory or request that illustrates the expertise of the concierge team?
" Recently, we had the pleasure of arranging a last-minute sunset sailboat excursion for some guests. Beyond the booking itself, we personalized the amenities on board based on their tastes to make the moment even more special.
That is what I love about the concierge profession: finding solutions, even on very short notice, and adding that touch of personalization that transforms a great activity into an unforgettable memory. "
In a few words, how would you define your vision of hospitality at the Five Seas?
" To me, hospitality is first and foremost a connection. It means welcoming each guest with sincerity, understanding what makes them unique, and offering a service that is discreet, attentive, and personalized all at once.
At the Five Seas, we are fortunate to be able to offer a very human, tailor-made approach. My ambition is for every guest to leave feeling they were guided by someone who deeply knows the destination and who was truly dedicated to showing them the very best of the Côte d'Azur. "
